The role
When a company moves from one problem to many interdependent workstreams, things start falling through cracks. Your job is to make sure they don't. As Product Development Lead you coordinate product development across hardware, software and design. You track who is doing what, by when, and who depends on whom so the team can deliver on time. This is a coordination and delivery role: you earn focus through clarity, not authority.Product decisions stay with the founder while the product matures. Your mandate is making sure the team delivers on those decisions.

‍What you'll do
• Keep development timelines and workstreams aligned across
hardware, software and design
• Run a light, effective operating cadence that helps the team
stay focused and move forward
• Surface dependencies, risks and bottlenecks early,
before they become surprises
• Create clarity around planning, priorities and progress
so everyone knows where things stand without asking
• Support decision-making with structure and insight
while removing friction across teams

What we're looking for
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams through delivery
• Strong organisational instincts and a feel for dependencies
in complex product development projects
• Comfortable facilitating rather than directing;
you earn trust through structure and follow-through
• Calm under pressure and trusted by engineers; good judgment
about what matters now versus later
• Effective in a small, in-person, high-trust team

‍Nice to have
• Background in hardware or hardware-plus-software product development
• Familiarity with agile or Scrum practices in small teams
• Exposure to regulated or certification-driven product timeline

‍Saef is building the new protection standard for luxury watches. Invisible, always-on hardware goes into the watch. A phone app tells the owner where it is and that it’s safe. We’re a small, senior team of engineers and designers that treats this as a system-level problem: hardware, software, security, and trust, all built together. We’re launching with select partners, with beta planned in 2027. We can demo a real working product at any stage of development. That’s not a tagline. It’s how we work.
